Privacy policy.

The short version
We built this site to collect as little as possible. It has no accounts, and the only thing you can submit is your email address if you ask to be told when Pro goes on sale. Every asset, fonts included, loads from our own domain. By default the only processing is standard hosting logs and cookieless, aggregate visit counts. If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site. Nothing from Google loads unless you accept, and you can change your mind any time.
Who we are
Vakanssi makes an applicant tracking plugin for WordPress. This website, vakanssi.com, is our marketing site. Questions about this policy: [email protected].
This site, not the plugin
The Vakanssi plugin runs on your own WordPress site. Hiring data the plugin manages (candidates, applications, CVs) lives on your server, is controlled by you, and never passes through this website. This policy is only about what happens when you visit vakanssi.com.
What we process
Hosting logs. Our host and content delivery network, Cloudflare, processes standard technical logs when you visit: your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and timestamps. These exist for security and operations, and retention follows Cloudflare's log practices.
Cookieless analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which gives us aggregate numbers (page views, referrers, country, browser). It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and cannot identify you.
Google Analytics, only if you accept. When you click Accept on the cookie banner, we load Google Tag Manager, which runs Google Analytics 4 (how visitors arrive, which pages they read, how far they scroll). Until you accept, nothing from Google loads and no Google cookies are set. Google processes this data on our behalf; Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Data may be processed on Google servers in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Your choice, remembered. Whether you accept or decline, we store that one choice in your browser's local storage (an entry named vakanssi-consent, not a cookie) so we do not ask again. It stays until you clear your site data or change your answer. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decline and do not show the banner at all.
Cookies
The site sets no cookies of its own. If you accept measurement, Google sets these first-party cookies on vakanssi.com:
_gaand_ga_*(Google Analytics): tell repeat visits apart from new ones. Up to two years.
Changing your mind. Click Cookie settings in the footer of any page to reopen the banner. Choosing Decline stops measurement immediately and removes the Google cookies listed above from your browser. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
What we do not do
- No cookies unless you accept them. Declining keeps the site cookie-free.
- No accounts, and no form on this site except the optional Pro launch notice described above.
- No third-party requests unless you accept measurement, apart from the cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon described above: fonts and every other asset load from our own domain.
- No selling of data, no cross-site tracking, no advertising measurement, and no ads shown on this site.
Telling you when Pro opens
Vakanssi Pro is not on sale yet. If you want to hear when it is, you can leave your email address on the pricing section or in the small notice at the corner of the page. That is the only form on this site, and it is entirely optional: nothing else on the page asks you for anything.
What we store and why. Your email address, and the date you gave it. Nothing else: no name, no company, no tracking of which page you were on. The lawful basis is your consent, given by submitting the form, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Who holds it. Resend, the service that already sends this project’s email, stores the list on servers in the EU (eu-west-1). It is a processor acting on our instructions. We do not sell the list, share it, or use it for anything other than the message described here.
What you will get. One email when Pro goes on sale. Not a newsletter. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
How long we keep it. Until you unsubscribe, or until we have sent the launch message and you have not asked to hear more, whichever comes first. To be removed sooner, write to [email protected] and we will delete the address.
Purchases
Vakanssi Pro is not on sale through this site yet. When checkout goes live it will be operated by Freemius, and this policy will describe that processing before the first sale happens.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR), you have rights to access, correct, delete, and object to processing of your personal data. Because we hold almost nothing about you, most requests will concern Cloudflare's short-lived logs or, if you accepted measurement, the Google Analytics data described above. Write to [email protected] and we will help.

If anything changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
