A branded /jobs/ page and shortcode on your own domain: your fonts, your colours, your URL. Every eligible listing ships valid Google for Jobs structured data, so openings can appear in Google’s job search without a third-party job board.

Candidates apply without leaving your site, and the CV never goes to anyone else’s cloud. Files are written to a protected folder under random names, and every download is served through an authenticated endpoint, so a CV can never be guessed from a URL. Consent, retention windows and erase requests are built in, not an add-on.

Already posting jobs with another plugin? Vakanssi imports your jobs, and the applications and CVs too where that plugin stores them, free. Leaving is just as easy: export applications to CSV or print-ready PDF whenever you like, and WordPress’s own export tools cover candidates end to end. Your hiring data stays yours either way.
Pro adds the power tools when you need them: hiring analytics, screening questions, self-booking, scorecards, sourcing and automation. Nothing here ever moves out of free.

Is the free version really free?
Yes, and it's not a trial. Jobs, the careers page, applications, the pipeline board, notes, interview logging, templated email, and the GDPR tooling are all free, with no time limits and no candidate caps.
Pro adds power tools on top; nothing ever moves out of free.
How is this different from a job-board plugin?
Job-board plugins stop at the listing: applications land in your email inbox and the tracking happens in a spreadsheet.
Vakanssi is a full applicant tracking system: every application flows into a pipeline board in wp-admin, with a candidate drawer for every applicant, team notes, interview logging, templated email, and GDPR tooling built in.
Will it work with my theme and page builder?
Yes, and you don't have to settle for a shortcode. Drop in the Job Listings block, a native Elementor widget (for the listing, the application form, or the job details), or a Divi module, plus a ready-made /jobs/ archive. On Elementor Pro, your own Theme Builder templates for jobs are used instead of ours. Shortcodes still work anywhere else.
The candidate-facing pages are built to survive your theme's own CSS reset, so they look the same whichever theme you run.
And if you want full control, turn Vakanssi's stylesheet off entirely and style it yourself in WordPress's Additional CSS.
Can my whole team use it?
Yes, and there are no per-seat fees, free or Pro. Vakanssi ships Recruiter, Hiring Manager, and HR roles with capability-based access; grant them to as many users as you need.
Who on my team can see candidates?
Anyone you give a hiring role to: the free tier assumes a trusted team, so every role with application access sees every candidate. If recruiters should only see candidates assigned to them, Pro adds assignment scoping.
Do candidates apply on my site, or get redirected?
On your site, start to finish. The listings, application form, and CV upload all run on your own domain and pick up your theme's styling: no iframes, no third-party careers portal.
Every eligible listing also ships valid Google for Jobs structured data, so openings can appear in Google's job search.
Candidates never need an account, CVs upload as PDF or Word, and every applicant gets an automatic confirmation email.
How do I know when someone applies?
Vakanssi emails you (or any recruiter you choose) the moment an application lands, and sends the candidate an automatic confirmation.
Both use editable templates with personalisation tags, go out through your SMTP sender, and are logged on the application.
Where does candidate data live?
On your server, full stop. Applications live in your WordPress database and CVs are stored in a protected uploads folder under random names, guarded by server rules the plugin writes and a reachability check that warns you if they are not holding; in every case, files are only served through an authenticated, capability-checked endpoint.
Nothing is sent to a third-party ATS cloud, and WordPress's data export and erase tools cover candidates end to end.
Will it slow my site down?
It's built not to. Disabled modules load no code and no assets, front-end styles load only on pages that show hiring content, and hiring data lives in purpose-built tables engineered for 10,000+ applications instead of bloating the posts table.
Can I use it in my language?
Yes. Vakanssi is fully translation-ready with standard WordPress tooling, and its layout supports right-to-left languages.
Add a language the usual way: a WordPress.org language pack once one is complete, Loco Translate, a .po file, or your translation plugin of choice.
How will the Pro licence work?
When Pro opens, it will be licensed by site count and billed yearly. You will install the Pro version of the plugin and every Pro module lights up in the same admin you already use: your jobs, candidates, and settings carry over untouched. You will be able to cancel the renewal any time.
How many sites can I use Pro on?
Pro is not on sale yet. When it opens, licences will be yearly and sized by site count: $129 for a single site, $299 for up to 5 sites, and $499 for unlimited sites.
Agencies running hiring on client sites usually want the 5-site or unlimited plan. The free plugin has no site limits at all.
Am I locked in?
No, in either direction. Vakanssi imports jobs from popular job-board plugins, and applications too where the plugin stores them, free.
Getting out is just as easy: export applications to CSV or print-ready PDF whenever you like, and WordPress's data export tools cover candidates end to end. Even uninstalling keeps your hiring data in your database unless you explicitly turn on "Delete all data on uninstall" first.
